Background of the Study
Stakeholder engagement is a critical aspect of corporate governance, ensuring that organizations address the interests and concerns of diverse groups, including shareholders, employees, customers, and regulatory bodies. Effective engagement strategies foster transparency, build trust, and enhance decision-making processes (Okafor & Adamu, 2023).
In Jigawa State, corporate organizations operate in a dynamic environment where stakeholder expectations are influenced by cultural, economic, and regulatory factors. While stakeholder engagement is acknowledged as a governance priority, questions remain about the adequacy and effectiveness of strategies employed by organizations in the state.
